Recap: Our INWX Sommerfest 2026

On Friday, 10 July, the time had come again: our INWX Sommerfest. More than 140 guests had signed up, and some traveled from outside Europe just to be there. That went far beyond our expectations. It is always a special feeling to see so many familiar faces in one place, and just as lovely to meet new ones.

Back in 2017, we celebrated our first big summer party, and it has since grown into a lovely tradition. Every two years, INWX invites not only its team, but also family, customers, partners, and friends from the domain and hosting world.

No agenda, no sales event, no business talk, just good company, great food, and time to celebrate together. That mix is exactly what makes the evening for us: people who usually meet by email or at industry conferences sit down together in a relaxed setting and celebrate what we have achieved as a community.

We gathered at the Treehouse Berlin, a green oasis in the heart of Friedrichshain. The weather was on our side, so we could enjoy the venue to the fullest in warm temperatures and sunshine. And while Berlin did not quite reach the tropical warmth of the Pacific island of Niue, .nu (Internetstiftelsen) kept us cool with a supply of hand fans.

The food was in excellent hands, too. The street food, sponsored by .it.com, was freshly prepared and drew long queues at the show cooking station. To go with it, chilled drinks flowed all evening, supported by .eu (EURid).

Berlin drag queens EMI and SYMBA got the evening going. They hosted two rounds of bingo, where guests could win a range of prizes, and before and after, they kept the music going all night, creating a relaxed, easygoing atmosphere.

And as tradition in the domain industry demands, there was of course karaoke, where everyone could show off their singing talents. From Bruno Mars to ABBA to German pop, it was all there. Supported by, how could it be otherwise, .blog.

And so the evening stays with us for a long time to come, the photo booth sponsored by .eco provided pictures to take home.
