As part of our corporate group, InterNetworX Management GmbH is looking for motivated support.
Have you successfully completed your vocational training, ideally already gained some initial professional experience, and enjoy working with Linux? Are you looking for an environment where you can take responsibility for internal IT while simultaneously gaining experience and in-depth technical knowledge in the administration of free and open-source software?
At InterNetworX, we are looking to strengthen our team on site in Berlin. When you join us, you will become part of an experienced admin team where you can learn a lot and develop professionally in the long term.
If you enjoy keeping infrastructure and services running and like communicating with your colleagues, you’ve come to the right place! You don’t need to deliver a finished solution on your own — but you should enjoy finding or developing it together with us. What matters to us less is many years of experience and more a quick grasp of things and confident handling of computers.
Who we are
InterNetworX is a provider of managed DNS and private cloud infrastructure for B2B customers. For our sister companies, we operate an extensive server and network infrastructure across three data center locations in Berlin. Since 2025, we have been a KRITIS operator and a particularly important entity under the German BSI Act. We handle all of this with our four-person admin team from our office in Berlin-Kreuzberg and remotely from across Germany.
Your responsibilities
- You are the central point of contact for technical issues in our office in Berlin-Kreuzberg and take care of onboarding and offboarding employees within our corporate group.
- You are responsible for hardware and inventory management and act as the interface to back office and accounting. You know what we have, what we need, and handle warranty cases.
- You improve the technical equipment, smart-home integrations, and monitoring of the office using solutions such as Home Assistant, Homematic IP, ZigBee, or similar.
- You help maintain our monitoring systems. You respond to alerts and help us minimize false positives. We primarily use Zabbix, but also Prometheus, Loki, and Grafana.
- We use almost exclusively Debian. You support system maintenance, updates, and general upkeep, evaluate software from time to time, and make it available for internal use. In doing so, you learn to work with Ansible and integrate your changes into our central configuration management tool.
If you are already familiar with the tools mentioned above: great! If not, that’s absolutely fine too. We are not looking for a senior — but we are happy to support you on your way to becoming one.
What you bring with you
- Completed vocational training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker/in) or comparable qualification
- Experience with Linux (or Unix-like) operating systems and confident use of the shell (Bash or similar)
- Analytical thinking, a structured way of working, and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to explain technical topics clearly (also to non-technical audiences)
- Team spirit, initiative, and a sense of responsibility
- Willingness to be present in our office in Berlin-Kreuzberg
- Enjoyment in keeping processes clean and improving them
- Good German language skills, both written and spoken (at least B2 level)
What we offer
- Work-life balance: 35 days of vacation & flexible working hours (core hours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
- Home office: at least 2 days of remote work per week possible
- Equipment: a Linux laptop for work that may also be used privately
- FLOSS & self-hosting: If it can be self-hosted, we host it ourselves. We have (almost) no external service providers and use free and open-source software out of conviction wherever possible.
- Benefits: discounts for fitness programs/public transport, employee discounts, fruit/water/coffee in the office, and one paid InterNetworX hour per week for private projects
- Regular team events, joint visits to trade fairs and professional events, and our shared “beer at four” on Fridays
- We look forward to receiving your meaningful application including CV and relevant certificates.
